Types of Dogs,Default & Sportism

I divide protection dogs into types one and type two. (one way of many to qualify PP/LE dogs) Type one dog will bite naturally whereas type 2 dog needs to be trained to bite a person.

Most dogs are type 2 but that counterintuitively is OK because if you know how to train type 2 they could be excellent LE or PP dogs just as well as type 1. So "trashing the sleeve" after the sleeve is slipped off and other equipment targeting, is caused by improper training (SPORTISM) and not by the type of dog. This exact problem is explaining why trainers lacking this understanding are talking about genetics so much.

They are basically looking for type 1 dogs who are able to absorb their erroneous training - training that is building default on equipment. That is ( mainly) why the LE handlers say that you do not know what the dog is going to do until he is on the street. Such an attitude is RIDICULOUS but it is accepted.

The reason is that most trainers and handlers do not know if they have type 1 or 2 dog. That is because in type one such default on equipment caused by training is overridden by the ultimate default established in the genetics of type 1 dogs. This misunderstanding of types of dogs causes many potentially excellent dogs to be eliminated from training by LE and PP and why such misguided trainers say that only about 1 out of 40 dogs can do LE or PP work. That is coinciding with a ratio of type 1 to type 2 which in my experience is about 1:40. AGAIN this (eliminating type 2 dogs) is totally wrong if you understand this issue.
