There are many systems of dog training. It is important to select the correct system for your needs. The training system of this video is "out of drive" training system using "balanced system" Based on operant conditioning of Skinner and Pavlov's classical conditioning. All this is explained in detail in the first part of the video.  FYI Your dog is out of drive 99% of the life, thus you need to train for that, and such is "out of drive" training. . Competition trains "in drive" for accuracy and precision in stress-free environment. So if you want training for competition this may be foundation for it, but then you will need to add in drive training. This video, however teaches reliability in critical situations of EVERYDAY LIFE because the dog works for you and with you and not for cookies and/or toys, where the dog works for itself. The aim of this training video is to show you a series of exercises to maintain a dog's civil behavior in various scenarios.

This is about prey development. You need to have in the dog prey and defense. In my protection training, I believe dogs should be built on defense, but that doesn't mean we need to neglect prey. Defense in protection when the dog wins, the decoy will run away, and we chase after the decoy, which is a release for the dog and gives them the sensation of winning.
